Leadership is Not a Job Title: How Project Management is Changing the Business World

With the ever increasing global competitiveness in today’s business environment, the ability to consistently plan and execute projects and programs is the most significant differentiator between competing organizations. In this highly competitive environment, businesses fail because they fail to deliver on their commitments. They fail to deliver a quality product ahead of their competition. With solid project management they can deliver their pivotal mission critical strategic initiatives that keeps their organization successful. The ever increasing role of project managers and project management in the organization is continually pushing the successful organizations forward, while those that do not utilize it are left behind in this highly competitive world. In this exciting and dynamic presentation Bill will detail the vital importance of the project manager role in today’s business world and how the project manager assists in the corporation achieving their strategic vision.

A PMO and portfolio management thought leader, Bill Stewart has over 30 years of successful project and program management experience across a wide range of initiatives. A former Infantry Officer, Ranger and Aviator, Bill developed dynamic leadership training programs that are still in use by the military today. Bill created the International Program Office Summit, a think tank for program and portfolio professionals, now in its 8th year.

Bill appeared as an expert CNBC’s World Business Review, hosted by Norman Schwarzkopf, for a session on project management. Bill will soon be releasing two books: “The PMO Survival Guide” and “Leadership is Not a Job Title.”
