Project Team Meetings: Get More Done in Half the Time
How much would you pay for a magic pill that would enable you to get more work accomplished in your project team meetings in half the time? $100….$1,000….$1M? Whoever said "time is money" wasn't kidding, and it's amazing how often we fool ourselves into thinking we're really getting something accomplished in project meetings when we're oftentimes just skimming the surface or spinning around in circles. The hard reality is that most project managers (and team members) spend an inordinate amount of time in various project team meetings, and too often we leave them feeling that they spent too much time getting too little accomplished. The good news is that there are simple tips that we can each employ to dramatically reduce meeting time and boost meeting effectiveness. Beyond the obvious benefit of recouping valuable time for all team members, utilizing these tactics also produces the tangential benefit of enhanced team morale and project manager credibility.
