Driven Project Management |
| The
choices we make, make our projects. Improved decision-making,
within project definition, planning and implementation, yields
significant dividends. Those projects that are driven by structured
choices create clear paths for change. Structured choices
are decisions that have been anticipated and plotted throughout
the project plan. They provide essential points of reference
for stakeholder management, including: expectation-setting,
commitment-gathering, goal agreement, and performance management.
They clarify and capture intent. They also provide a mechanism
for changing direction should circumstances require. Decisions
become sign posts pointing to future success when the change
is achieved. The critical mindset is to approach project management
with not one, but a series of ends in sight. This mindset
is decision-driven project management. |
