"Harnessing the Power of Project Management for Compliance Success"
Compliance with federal and state laws is complex and continuously
evolving. Organizations must analyze and comply with applicable laws
and regulations affecting their business operations. Project
Management tools and techniques can assist individuals in
successfully completing compliance initiatives. This presentation
will lead attendees through a typical compliance project and provide
real world examples in applying project management tools and
techniques to achieve success.
Bio
Pamela Garay is the Privacy Director for the Government Solutions
Group of Affiliated Computer Services. Ms. Garay is responsible for
leading data privacy protection and compliance activities for
projects located in the U.S. and Canada. With more than 10 years
experience in project management, information technology, and
healthcare, Ms. Garay has worked extensively with government clients
and programs. Ms Garay has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the
University of California Berkeley and a Master of Health
Administration degree from the University of Southern California and
is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified
Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
