Lipstick
on a Pig: How Illusion Leads to Crisis
Manage projects in the real world long enough and you're bound
to live through it.... Everyone on the team knows the project
is struggling yet no one speaks up. Read the status report
and things sound reasonably fine. Yet the project is barreling
into a death spiral. Lipstick
on a pig. No matter how thick you try to cover it, reality
always wins. As Jerry Weinberg observed in "The Secrets
of Consulting" (Dorset House, 1985), "It may look
like a crisis, but it's only the end of an illusion."
This insightful and entertaining session looks at key illusions
that threaten success as we lead projects and people. Whether
you're a project team member, a project manager, or a senior
executive sponsor, this interactive program provides practical
tips you can immediately apply in your real world projects
(even those that are real porkers)! |
